GTC Gantry Type Turning Center
Introduction of GTC Gantry Type Turning Center:
Machine tools of GTC series are large CNC vertical lathes with moving cross beam or fixed cross beam. The lathes are built on the basis of Japan technology. In order to better use the technology, we at SMTCL invited Japanese specialists to make instruction.
This machine is widely used for machining large-size and discal parts such as wheel, motor body, valve body, flange and motor seat, pump body with large size.
It is also applied to turning the curved surface such as outer circle, inner hole and end surface in once setup.
Main components of this turning center, including CNC system, main electric components, main bearings, ball screws and hydraulic components, are imported from renowned companies all over the world.
Thanks to the sophisticated technology, imported components, state-of-the-art facilities and advanced measure methods, this kind of machine tool features high machining accuracy, stiffness, reliability, reasonable layout, convenient operation and high automatic degree.
Automatic turning with no people operation can be achieved by the machine (with automatic measuring device and tool measuring device), thus improving machining quality and reducing operation cost.
Structure Features of GTC Gantry Type Turning Center:
Ram
The rectangular ram is moving on the beam to realize X-axis, Z-axis sliding. Its balance is achieved through hydraulic balancing cylinders located symmetrically on both sides of the ram.
Beam
Beam is designed with reasonable layout so as to prevent the bending ram by movement and cutting caused by force.
Column
This CNC vertical lathe contains single column and double columns. These are of symmetrical structure and centered on the base. Symmetrical circular reinforce ribs are also adopted inside for high strength and stiffness.
Main Transmission
AC servo motor drives worktable to rotate through V type belt and gearbox to realize constant line speed cutting.
Operation Panel
Optional FANUC and SIEMENS CNC systems to realize servo control with high speed and high accuracy.
Tools and Tool Holders
The clamping of tools and holders is realized by pushing oil cylinder, which located on the upper part of ram, to move the drawing bar up and down. The Belleville spring inside the ram can raise, clamp the tools and position the tools by arc plate at the lower part.
Worktable
The standard accessory is with manual 4-jaw chuck.
Base
The base is of symmetrical structure and combines circular reinforce ribs, radial ribs and tri-angular ribs.
