GMC Gantry Type 5-face Milling and Boring Machining Center
Introduction of GMC Gantry Type 5-face Milling and Boring Machining Center:
GMC gantry type machines come in a variety of styles: including fixed bridge, moveable table or moving gantry and fixed table styles.
This milling and boring machining center is designed for maintaining high accuracy and rigidity under heavy cutting conditions.
Powered by a gear box, the spindle can achieve high torque in low speed applications.
These 5-face milling and boring machines is used in precisely machining large box type workpieces from all 5 sides.
Features of GMC Gantry Type 5-face Milling and Boring Machining Center:
Ram
Two ram sizes (350 x 350mm, 420 x 470mm) are available, making the machining center suitable for varying machining applications. The entire ram structure is hydraulically balanced for smooth running. The rams are supported inside the headstock with long slideways to support heavy machining.
Spindle
This gantry type 5-face milling and boring machining center can complete machining operations with either a vertical or horizontal spindle. Automatic tool changing is achievable with either spindle. But the horizontal spindle can realize automatic positioning in 72 five degree increments.
Crossrail
The crossrail is made of cast iron with quality resin sand process. The guideway is steel inserted and fine grinded with such features as hardness HRC 60±2, little friction force, large load, making it suitable for heavy cutting.
5 Face Head
Integrate vertical and horizontal spindle. For horizontal spindle, it can be indexed by each 5 degree to realize 5-face machining, with high stiffness.
Tool magazine of vertical and horizontal interconversion
This tool changing system can greatly improve efficiency by reducing a lot of fixture.
Operation Panel and Station
The milling and boring machine is effectively controlled, whose performance parameters can be supplied by operation panel.
Servo Motor of X Axis Movement
The feed clearance elimination transmission is realized by double AC servo motors and speed reducer from Germany.
Bed and Linear Scale
The bed is made of cast iron with quality resin sand process. Gantry frame delivers good stability. The full closed loop control is realized by the adopted scale.
Fixed Worktable
The worktable is made of cast iron with super quality resin sand process. Large load capacity is possible.
